Our trip to Brimfield 2012

My daughter Samantha and I were lucky enough to get away for the day to attend Brimfield Antiques Fair last Friday.

One of the first stops included a visit with my friend and fellow Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™ retailer Nancy Chace from Searose Cottage in Bristol, RI. Her booth looked amazing!

Congratulation Nancy…you RoCked It!!

Some of Nancy’s treasures….
Vintage vanity painted with non-other than Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™Nancy’s friend and neighbor at Brimfield had many beautiful vintage pieces of furniture painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™

Cute Little Ole Green TruckI loved these little stools…and especially this Vintage Suitcase turned display case..so creative!!!

These cool lights can now be purchased right here at Counting Sheep Antiques…I currently have 5 different styles for sale..I wanted one of these Strawberry Shortcakes sooo bad….doesn’t it look amazingly good? But I opted for a Pilgrim Sandwich (turkey, stuffing, cranberry, mayo). My usual lunch of choice at Brimfield…yum
I couldn’t resist having my daughter Samantha take this photo of Mr. M&M and his   proud new owner.

I then asked permission from the fellow that owned this Purple Chair if Samantha could take this photo and his snide remark was “oh yeah, that’s why I lugged this chair all the way here so that people could take pictures of it”….I smiled  politely and thanked him for letting us do just that….kill em with kindness!!

Overall, though I didn’t buy too much…we had a FuN and colorful day…best part was spending the day with my daughter…training her up for good ole junk’in

Thanks for sharing your view of Brimfield. You’re right that suitcase turned into a display case is awesome. I missed it while we were there, but my girls didn’t miss the strawberry short cake. Those desserts were beautiful and were so deserving of their lovely display cases. We are already planning and saving for next May’s girls adventure.

Smiles,

Carol
