BASICS WORKSHOP (formerly Introductory)

Tuesday, May 21st from 10am-2pm

Our Basics workshop cost of $125 includes all material and supply. During this 4hr workshop, you will learn several painting techniques using Chalk Paints® Decorative Paint and Soft Waxes. With the supplied sample boards and moldings, you will create a two color wax relief, a two color distress over a textural design and learn the basics of a modern (smooth) and a rustic (textured) finish. We also work with both Clear and Dark Soft Waxes.

BEYOND BASICS WORKSHOP

Sunday, May 5th from 11am-3pm

Our Beyond Basics Workshop cost of $150 includes all material and supply. During this Workshop, we will get even more creative with these three additional techniques using Chalk Paint® Decorative Paint and Soft Waxes;

1. Using a sample board, we will each choose one color of paint and add a decoupaged graphic design (supplied). We will finish the piece with Annie’s  two step Craqueleur medium.

2. Learn to apply gold leaf and gilding waxes over  Chalk Paint® onto a decorative molding piece to add interest to your projects.

3. On sample boards, we will play with 3 paint texturing techniques using everyday items from in and around your home.

MIXED MEDIA WORKSHOP

COLOR & DESIGN WORKSHOP

Friday, May 31st from 7pm-10pm

Working with Annie’s Workbook (supplied), we will take you to an understanding of colors and how they work. By creating your own color wheel, you will learn the art of complementary colors, cool vrs. warm colors, making Greys, using whites-and which whites, mixing colors and matching color tones. We will explore different colors for creating different styles such as Rococco, Neo-Classical, Rustic, Modern and more.

From this workshop, we are hoping to form a monthly “COLOR CLUB” where we will continue working in our workbooks together.
